Deployment plans & opportunities Please send us any information on your deployment plans, or where you can provide a deployment opportunity for buoys from other IPAB participants.
A good deployment opportunity is any ship cruise or aircraft flight, visiting or passing through/over a region of sea ice which has a good chance to survive for some months after the deployment.
For IPY, ship cruises are coordinated by international programmes like e.g. iAnzone (International Antarctic Zone Programme) and the CLIVAR/CliC Southern Ocean Climate Observation Panel. Below, links are shown to the planning maps of the respective programmes. A coordinated IPAB deployment was compiled during IPAB IPY Meeting in Hobart, July 11 2006.
